Ffynnon is welsh for spring and the farm has used its own water for generations. Legend has it pilgrims stopped off at the spring on their way to St David's.

The farm was also the location for the filming of the Hollywood Movie Moby Dick. John Huston directed the whale scenes from the fields overlooking the sea.
